Arpeggione

The arpeggione was an 18th century cello/guitar like instrument that fell out of favor during the transition from gut to high tension steel strings. This is my own re-design made specifically for steel strings and substantially more robust for modern performance/touring requirements. The arpeggione allows for 4th and 5ths tuning as well easier double-stops and more complex chording with a curved bow.

This short film features a sound example.
