Wooden Baschet.
This instrument was made as an experimental recycling project of broken pernambuco violin bows. Pernambuco is a rare and endangered wood with unique flexibility and resonance. By mounting them on a soundbox they can be played with another bow to create eerie organic and creature-like sounds. This instrument lived in the foley studios at Oberlin College for many years in use by students for fiction and experimental films.
